Tips To Improve your Personality

We all like to think we are the best, and we are, in our own little way. But once in a while, it would be great if you took time out and take yourself out for servicing, if I may say. Improve yourself to shine brighter.

Here are a few tricks and tips to help you become the best of you.

1. READING

Sadly, over the years, reading has been underrated by the young generation for quite a time. And I am not talking about technical reading. The fictions, autobiographies, mysteries, thrillers- these open your mind and do great wonders to your language and vocabulary skills. Yes, it is not your first choice to spend your free time, but it is a lot healthier and soul-enriching. Give yourself some Agatha Christie ,Osho, John Girsham, and my favourite, Roald Dahl, every once in a while.

2. PUBLIC SPEAKING

It is still one of the biggest fears of many of us. Rather than running away from it, face it head on. So what if they laugh at you, people will always try and undermine your abilities. Rise above them. Give small speeches, presentations, actively participate in the oratory activities. The first few would be terrible, but then you will slowly get the hang of it. And its always fun to feel the adrenaline on  stage and slam everyone down with your speech , is it not?

3. MEDITATION

A calm mind will give you the best arguments, ideas, and thoughts as you head into a day. The reason why we get stuck at some point in an overtly exhausting day is because our mind goes whaazooo after being high for a long period. Take out 5 minutes every day and clear your mind in that mind. It will reward you at every turn.

4. EXERCISING

Most of us are self conscious about our appearances. Either we get over it, or do something about it. The first one is harder with people reminding you incessantly how your looks mean EVERYTHING. It is revolting, yes, but getting over it is hard. So if you can't, its totally understandable. Then go and change it. Exercise regularly, maintain your health so that atleast no one can use your body to make you feel small. Carry yourself with self confidence.

5. HEAD OUT ALONE

Every once in a while, take out some time and head out alone out. You don't need to go to someplace exotic. Just someplace quiet to give yourself time. Alone time would give your thoughts voice that gets suppressed when you are surrounded by people. It is important that you give yourself this "me-time". It is a hard truth that too much social interaction would leave little time for you and sudden withdrawal from your group would leave you scrambling around unable to figure out what to do. Learn to love your own company. Being independent emotionally would make you strong.

6. SOCIAL MEDIA

We all are or at some point have been addicted to it-and it is alluring. It makes us feel wanted. But eventually, it eats you from the inside. It is too occupying and yields nothing. It is the reason why we get nothing done time, and eventually all you have gathered in a day is gossips and talks and felt worse about your life. It is good to be social, but don't get too much involved in it. Spend your time qualitatively.

7. DISCOVER YOUR FORTE

The time you get for introspection during meditation and heading out alone, reading- try and find your passion, the one thing that makes your soul go "click! Oh there you are". Hone it, nurture it and you will find yourself to be more confident.

8. BE CONFIDENT

Be self confident. The road to improvement is difficult as change of any kind requires you stepping out of your comfort zone. Don't be afraid. Have faith and improve yourself a little every day and watch yourself grow. Take care of yourself. You deserve the best, so go get it!
